SPARERIBS WITH ZESTY HONEY SAUCE

1 cup chili sauce
1/2 - 3/4 cup honey
1/4 cup minced onion
2 tbsp dry red wine, optional
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
3 lb spareribs
Salt and pepper

Combine first 6 ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.

Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Place on rack in roasting pan; cover with foil. Roast at 375 for 35-45 minutes. Uncover and brush generously with sauce. Roast 45 minutes brushing with sauce every 15 minutes, until ribs are fully cooked and tender. Cut into serving portions and serve with remaining sauce.
