EASY BEEF BRISKET

1 pkg French Onion recipe mix
1 1/44 cups water
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
3 lb beef brisket
6 carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 pkg (16 oz) wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
Preheat oven to 325. In 13x9 inch baking or roasting pan, add French Onion recipe mix blended with 1 cup water and tomato sauce. Add brisket, turning to coat with soup mixture. Loosely cover with aluminum foil and bake 1 hour. Add carrots and continue baking 1-1/2 hours. Remove brisket and carrots, reserving liquid; keep brisket warm.
In 2-quart saucepan, bring reserved liquid and remaining 1/4 cup water blended with cornstarch to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Serve sauce over brisket, carrots and hot noodles. Serves 8
