COUNTRY STYLE STIR-FRY STEAK

1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 red or green bell pepper, cut into strips
2 onions, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1-2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 lb beef round steak, cut into 1/2 inch strips
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2/3 cup water
3/4 cup dry red wine or beef broth
1 tsp salt and pepper
2 tsp browning-and-seasoning sauce, Kitchen Bouquet
Hot rice
Saute first 4 ingredients in oil until tender; removed vegetables from skillet, reserving drippings in pan. Brown steak in drippings, small amounts at a time, stirring often. Combine soup, water and wine and pour over steak.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring often. Stir in salt and pepper into mushroom mixture and spoon over steak. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour or until steak is tender. Stir in sauce. Serve with rice. Serves 6-8
