CREAMY PENNE WITH SMOKED HAM AND PEAS

2 tbsp butter and flour
2 cups milk
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper
Pinch nutmeg
1 cup frozen peas and diced ham
1/2 lb penne pasta, cooked al dente

Heat butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and stir until blended and golden, about 3 minutes. Gradually add milk and stir until thickened. Add cheese and spices. Let cheese melt and whisk together. Add remaining ingredients; mix together. Serve. Serves 4
