COUNTRY FRIED HAMBURGER STEAK WITH GRAVY

1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 tbsp salt and garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1 cup flour
Vegetable oil
Milk

Pat beef into patties. In a bowl, mix together next 4 ingredients and coat patties on both sides. Brown, covered, in 4 tbsp oil. About 7-10 minutes on each side. Add extra oil to skillet to keep the bottom of the pan covered.

Gravy: After cooking patties, keep skillet over medium heat and add about 1/4 cup flour to grease and stir until the lumps are gone. Add about 1/4 full with milk.

Stir constantly over medium heat until it reaches desired thickness. Add additional milk if it gets to thick. Serve country fried patties covered with gravy.
