HUNGARIAN CABBAGE AND NOODLES

1 bag of shredded green cabbage
2 medium carrots, thinly sliced
2 tbsp water
1 onion, chopped or thinly sliced
1-2 tsp minced garlic
3 tablespoons Canola oil
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce and dried thyme or oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
12 oz noodles or macaroni
1-2 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp caraway seed

Heat oil in 12 inch skillet. Add onions and cook until they are soft. Stir in the cabbage, carrots and water. Saute for about 10 minutes. Mix in remaining ingredients except last 3, cover, and continue to cook an additional 10-15 minutes, or until very tender, stirring occasionally. Boil noodles, following package directions. Toss noodles with cabbage mixture and butter. Stir to combine.
