* OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES *

1 1/4 cups butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda, salt and cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3 cups oatmeal
2 cups raisins

Preheat oven to 375. Beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Mix well. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop rounded tbsp full onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 9 minutes.
