TRIPLE CHOCOLATE TREATS COOKIES

2 3/4 cups flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup light brown sugar and cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
4 squares 1 oz each bittersweet chocolate
1/4 cup brewed coffee
1 cup red and green M&MS
1/2 cup slivered almonds, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 375. In a bowl, whisk first 4 ingredients. Set aside.

In a second bowl, beat the butter and sugars until smooth and creamy. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Melt chocolate, let cool slightly, then beat into mixture. Beat in the flour mixture until combined. Stir in coffee. Fold in the candies and nuts.

Drop heaping tbsp of dough onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 9 minutes or until set. Remove cookies from baking sheets. Cool. Repeat with remaining dough. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
