COLA MEATBALLS

1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 egg
1 tbsp water
2 small onions, finely chopped, divided
1/2 tsp salt and pepper, divided
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup and cola
1/2 medium-sized green bell pepper, finely chopped

Preheat oven to 325. In a large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients, 1/2 of the onion, 1/4 tsp salt and pepper; mix well. Form into 1 inch meatballs and place in a 13x9 inch baking pan.

In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients, including remaining onion, 1/4 tsp salt and pepper; mix well and pour over meatballs. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until sauce is bubbling and meatballs are cooked through. Good served over cooked rice.
