Shelly's Recipe

DEATH BY COOKIES

2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda, salt and cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar and packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup chopped pecans
8 oz dark chocolate chunks and white chocolate chunks
1 cup old-fashioned oats and dried bing cherries

In small bowl, mix together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.

In large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add flour mixture until combined. Stir in nuts, chocolate, oats and cherries.

Form into 2 inch balls and chill or freeze.

When needed, preheat oven to 375. Place dough balls on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes until just slightly browned around the edges. Cool slightly wire rack. Serve warm with milk.
