* HOT FUDGE ICE CREAM BAR DESSERT* - Easy

1 (16 oz) jar chocolate syrup
3/4 cup peanut butter
19 ice cream sandwiches
1 (12 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped

Heat the syrup in the microwave about 2 minutes. Do not boil. Stir in peanut butter until smooth. Allow to cool at room temperature.

Line bottom of a 13x9 inch baking dish with 9 1/2 ice cream sandwiches. Spread half of the chocolate mixture over the sandwiches. Spoon half the whipped topping over the chocolate mixture. Top with half the peanuts. Repeat layers.

Freeze 1 hour or until firm. Cut into squares to serve. Serves 18

Note: It is also good with caramels substituted for peanut butter and toasted pecans for peanuts.
