CHOCOLATE VELVET CHEESECAKE

1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
3 tbsp almond extract or flavored liqueur
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
2 cups sour cream
2 tbsp sugar

Preheat oven to 325. Combine first 4 ingredients and press into bottom of a 9 inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes.

Combine cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in chocolate and liqueur; pour over crust. Bake 35 minutes then increase oven temperature to 425.

Combine sour cream and sugar, carefully spread over cheesecake. Bake for 10 minutes. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan. Chill. Garnish with whipped cream.
