HUNGARIAN CUCUMBER SALAD

2-3 cucumbers, thinly sliced
2 tsp salt
3 tbsp cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp paprika and white pepper
1/2 clove garlic, minced
4 fresh green onions, diced
1 cup thick sour cream

Garnish: 1/4 tsp paprika

Place cucumbers in a bowl; sprinkle with salt; mix. Set aside for 1 hour. Drain and squeeze liquid from cucumber slices a few at a time; place in a bowl. Discard liquid.

Combine vinegar with next 5 ingredients; and add to cucumber slices along with remaining ingredients. Mix and sprinkle with additional paprika. Chill 1-2 hours before serving.
