MARINATED BARBECUE CHICKEN

10 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup brown sugar, sherry and soy sauce
2 cups pineapple juice
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbsp vegetable oil and lemon juice
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground ginger
10 thin slices Havarti or jack cheese, optional
Place chicken in a resealable bog. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over the chicken. Seal and 30-60 minutes at room temperature or 2-3 hours in the refrigerator. Drain chicken from marinade.
Cook on grill with the thin ends away from the flames. Cook, turning once, until just cooked through, 3-8 minutes per side. Top with cheese and serve when melted.
