BARBECUED BRISKET

1 (4 lb) beef brisket
1 cup chopped onion and celery
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tsp paprika
1/4 cup hot water
1 (1.5 oz) pkg dry spaghetti sauce mix
2 tbsp oil
2 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tbsp dry onion soup mix
1 cup cola

Preheat oven to 350. Place meat in a Dutch oven and baste with oil on all sides. Sprinkle on chopped vegetables. Season with salt, pepper and paprika.

Place crushed garlic on top. Mix ketchup with hot water, soup mix and dry spaghetti mix to dissolve dry ingredients. Add cola and pour mixture over meat. Roast 2 1/2 - 3 hours; covered with foil. Open to baste every 20-30 minutes. Remove beef; let stand 15 minutes before carving.
