SHRIMP AND SMOKED SAUSAGE GUMBO

1 pkg smoked sausage, cut in chunks
1 medium onion, diced
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cup long grain basmati rice
3 (14 oz) can chicken broth
1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 lb (36-40 count) peeled and deveined shrimp
1/2 (16 oz) pkg frozen cut okra
1 1/2 tsp gumbo file seasoning
Heat a Dutch oven over medium heat until hot. Saute sausage and onion in oil about 4-5 minutes or until onion is tender. Add rice and cook 1 minute, stirring. Add next 3 ingredients and heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook 15 minutes. Increase heat to medium; stir in remaining ingredients and cook, uncovered, for 6-8 minutes or until shrimp turn opaque through and okra is heated through. Serves 8
