PIZZA SUBS

1 lb ground beef
1 cup onions, chopped
1 (15 oz) can pizza sauce
1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
1/4 cup olives (optional)
2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
8 hoagie buns, or French rolls
2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Brown beef and onion in a skillet until meat is no longer pink; drain off any fat. Stir in pizza sauce, pepperoni, olives, basil and oregano. Cook for 10 minutes on low heat.

Cut 1/4 inch off the top of each roll; set aside. Hollow out each roll out carefully, (A knife works great to do this) leaving a 1/4 inch shell. Sprinkle 2 tbsp of cheese inside each shell.

Fill each with about 1/2 cup meat mixture. Layering with the cheese as you go. Gently press down to flatten. Replace tops. Wrap sandwiches in foil; label and freeze for up to 3 months or bake at 375 for about 20 minutes or until heated through.
