POTATO HERB SOUP - Easy

1 lb. frozen Southern-style hash browns
2 cups fresh sliced carrots
1/2 cup minced celery
1/4 cup minced onion
1 qt. water
1 tbsp. chicken soup base
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. ground coriander
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 cups half and half
1/4 cup butter
Combine potatoes, carrots, celery, minced onion, water, chicken soup base, basil, coriander, pepper, garlic salt and cayenne pepper in a small stockpot. Cover; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add half and half and butter; heat through and serve immediately. Serves 10
