PIZZA STRAWS

Your favorite raw pizza dough
3 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. of one (or a combination) of these toppings: fennel seeds, caraway seeds, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, coarse salt, coarsely ground black pepper, red pepper flakes Cooking Directions

Preheat oven to 425.

Start with your favorite raw pizza dough. Cut ball of dough into 18 equal nubs. Roll each, on a lightly floured board, to a 10-inch stick. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with one or more of the suggested toppings. Transfer to a greased baking sheet. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden-brown and puffy. Cool and serve immediately, or wrap well for up to two days.

Makes 18 pizza straws

NOTE: These are also good by wrapping them with smoked salmon or prosciutto for an impressive last-minute hors d oeuvre.
