CHICKEN WITH PASTA CAKES - Easy

1/2 (1 lb) pkg angel hair pasta, cook al dente and drained
1 (26 oz) jar favorite pasta sauce
2 tbsp olive oil, divided
10 asparagus spears, cut into 2 inch pieces, steamed
1/2 cup water
1 herb roasted rotisserie chicken, meat removed in large please and sliced
1/4 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese
Fresh basil
While pasta is cooking, heat up pasta sauce to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp oil until very hot but not smoking. Drop about 1 cup drained pasta into skillet; flatten slightly to form cake. Repeat to make 1 more pasta cake. Cook 6-8 minutes or until golden brown, turning once pressing pasta cakes with a spatula to flatten. Transfer cakes to a platter to keep warm. Repeat with remaining 1 tbsp oil and pasta to make 2 more cakes.
Place chicken in skillet to warm, if necessary. Plae 1 pasta cake in center of each serving bowl. Serve chicken and asparagus on pasta cakes. Spoon sauce over all and sprinkle with cheese and basil. Serves 4
