Shelly's Recipe

CHICKEN FEED

4 cups mixed bite-size wheat, rice or corn squares cereal
1 1/2 cup cocktail peanuts or mixed nuts
2 cups pretzel sticks
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
2 tbsp sesame seeds
6 tbsp butter
1 tsp garlic powder and chili powder
1 to 2 tsp hot pepper sauce, to taste
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce

Preheat oven to 300. In a large bowl, toss together cereal squares, peanuts, pretzel sticks, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds. In a small saucepan, melt butter with all the remaining ingredients. When melted, pour butter mixture evenly over cereal mixture. Mix well to coat. Spread over a jelly roll baking pan (with sides) or other large baking pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. Stir mixture 3 or 4 times while in the oven. Cool and store in an airtight container. Serves 8 to 10.
