GRANDMAs GOULASH

1 lb elbow macaroni pasta, cooked al dente, drained
1 lb lean ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 14 oz cans diced tomatoes
1 green pepper, diced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano and pepper
1 (15 1/2 oz) can red kidney beans, drained
Grated Parmesan cheese
While pasta is cooking, in large skillet over medium heat place ground beef, onion and garlic; cook until beef is thoroughly browned and onion is clear, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add green pepper continue to cook until soft. Stir in diced tomatoes, seasonings and beans. Cover and simmer, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mix in prepared macaroni until well combined. Transfer to a glass serving dish, add a generous sprinkling of Parmesan cheese to the top and allow guests to serve themselves. Serves 8
