SWEET AND SOUR SAUSAGE KABOBS

1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
3/4 cup cranberry juice
2 tbsp cider vinegar
2 tsp soy sauce
1 lb kielbasa or smoked sausage, cut into chunks
1 small red and green bell peppers, cut into 1 inch squares
2 medium red cooking apples, cut into 8 wedges each

Prepare grill to low heat. In a saucepan, combine first 2 ingredients and stir in next 3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickness; boil 1 minute. Remove from heat.

On skewers, thread sausage, pepper and apples. Grill 6 inch above coals until sausages are lightly brown. Brush kabobs with glaze, turning occasionally. Serve kabobs with leftover glaze. Serves 4
