FROZEN CHOCOALTE SUNDAE

1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
5 tbsp softened butter
1 1/2 - 1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/8 tsp salt
3 eggs, separated
2 pints softened vanilla ice cream
Chocolate shavings

Butter a 9 inch square pan; sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs. Set aside. Combine next 6 ingredients and egg yolks; mix well. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into chocolate mixture. Pour into prepared pan. Cover; freeze at least 2 hour. Spoon ice cream over chocolate mixture, cover and freeze. Garnish with chocolate shavings. Cut into squares. Serve.
