CHOCOLATE PUDDING WITH VANILLA SAUCE

Category: Pudding / Brulee / Flan

1 cup sugar
2 tbsp butter
2 eggs
2 oz unsweetened chocolate
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder

Sauce
2 egg yolks
2 egg whites, beaten stiffly
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup cream, whipped
1 tsp vanilla

For pudding, beat the sugar, butter and egg. Add the dry ingredients, milk and melted chocolate. Mix well. Pour pudding mixture in a baking dish and place in a pan of hot water. Bake at 300 for 45 minutes.

Sauce: Beat the yolks until they are pale yellow. Gradually add the sugar, whipped cream, vanilla and stiffly beaten egg whites. Serve the pudding warm with the sauce. Serves 6
