Shelly's Recipe

SUPPER NACHOS

1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp seasoned salt, optional
1/2 tsp cumin
2 cans refried beans
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, grated
1/4 cup green chiles, diced
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
2/3 cup salsa
Tortilla chips
Guacamole, optional
Sour cream, optional
Chopped green onions, optional
Sliced olives, optional

Heat skillet at medium-high temperature; brown meat and onions. Drain well. Return meat and onions to skillet; add cumin and mix well.

In a large mixing bowl, combine refried beans and taco seasoning mix; blend well. Add grated cheese to bean mixture; mix together. Spread beans in shallow 9X13 pan. Cover over bean mixture with browned meat and onions. Sprinkle chilies evenly over meat. Top with grated cheddar cheese. Pour salsa over cheese.

Bake uncovered at 400 for 20-25 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Place tortilla chips around edge of meat/beans dish and garnish as desired. Serves 6
