SONORA CORN SOUP

2 tbsp butter
1 medium onion, chopped
2 (14 1/4 oz) cans whole kernel corn, drained
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded, finely chopped
2 (14 1/2 oz) cans ready-to-serve chicken broth
1 tsp Ground Cumin
1/2 tsp Chili Powder
Tortilla chips (optional)
In large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until hot; cook and stir onion 5 minutes or until tender. Add corn, bell pepper and jalapeño pepper; cook and stir 5 minutes. Stir in broth, cumin and chili powder; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes. Garnish with tortilla chips, if desired. Serves 4
