ITALIAN PEPPERONI CHEESE ROLLS

1 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups flour
4 eggs
3/4 cup finely chopped pepperoni, about 3 oz
3/4 cup finely shredded Romano or parmesan cheese
2 tbsp snipped fresh parsley
1/8 tsp garlic powder and pepper
Additional shredded cheese

Grease 2 large baking sheets; set aside. In a large saucepan, combine water and shortening. Bring to boiling. Add flour all at once, stirring vigorously. Cook and stir until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat. Cool 10 minutes.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well with a wooden spoon after each addition. Stir in next 5 ingredients. Drop dough by rounded tsp 2 inch apart onto prepared baking sheets. Bake at 450 for 15-17 minutes or until golden. Transfer to a wire rack. Sprinkle with additional cheese. Serve warm.
