LEMON PINEAPPLE DREAM CAKE

1 pkg yellow cake mix, plus ingredients on box
2 cups milk, divided
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained well
1 (4 serving size) pkg lemon instant pudding
1 large container whipped topping, thawed

Bake cake according to package directions in a 13x9 inch baking pan. Let cool in pan.

Mix cream cheese and 1/2 cup milk; blend well and set aside. Mix pudding mix with remaining milk, beating until slightly thickened. Add cream cheese mixtuer and beat until thick; pour over cooled cake. Sprinkle with drained pineapple evenly over the cake. Spread with whipped topping. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight before serving.
