BBQ SAUCE for Ribs

1 1/2 cups water
1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup tomato paste
1 tbsp yellow mustard
2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 tsp liquid smoke
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder and paprika

Combine ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, about 45 to 60 minutes or until sauce is thick.
