TUNA ON THE GRILL

Category: Seafood and Fish - Grilled

1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp light brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 tuna steaks (6 or 8 oz each)

In a baking dish, combine all the ingredients except the tuna; mix well. Rinse the tuna with cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Add the tuna to the marinade, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes, turning the tuna over halfway through the marinating.

Spray the COLD grill racks with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the tuna from the marinade, discarding any excess marinade; grill the tuna steaks for 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Serves 4

NOTE: Tuna steaks can be cooked the way you would beef steaks -- to your desired doneness anywhere from rare to medium to well-done.
