*REFRIGERATED ANGEL DESSERT*

1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 to 1 1/4 cups sifted confectioners sugar
2 (8 oz) containers frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 prepared day-old angel food cake, sliced into about 1-inch cubes
2 (21 oz) cans pie filling (choice of lemon, strawberry, blueberry or cherry pie filling)

In a large bowl beat the cream cheese with sugar until smooth and well combined; fold in one 8 oz container of whipped topping until smooth, then gently fold in the cake cubes. Spread evenly into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

Top with pie filling. Spread remaining container of whipped topping on the top. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before cutting into squares
