SOUTHWESTERN BURGERS I

1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 1/2 tbsp chopped green chiles
2 lb ground chuck
1 small onion, diced
1 tsp salt and pepper
2 tsp taco seasoning or chili powder
6 slices pepper jack cheese
6 large sesame seed hamburger buns
1 (6 oz) carton avocado dip
Toppings: curly leaf lettuce, red onion slices and tomato slices

Stir together mayonnaise and green chilies; cover and chill. Stir together ground chuck and next 4 ingredients; shape into 6 patties. Grill, covered, over medium-high heat 6-8 minutes on each side or until beef is no longer pink.

Top with cheese and grill 1 more minute or until cheese melts. Place buns on grill, cut side down. Grill 1 minute or until lightly toasted. Serve patties on buns with avocado dip, desired toppings and green chile mayonnaise. Serves 6
