FLUFFY STRAWBERRY MOUSSE DESSERT

1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup boiling water
3-4 tbsp sugar (optional)
1 (4 oz) pkg strawberry flavor gelatin
1/2 cup ice water or very cold water (measure 1/2 cup after you remove the ice)
2 cup Whipped topping frozen topping, thawed and divided
2 cups chopped fresh strawberries

Prepare 8 medium serving dishes.

Beat the cream cheese and vanilla until well combined; set aside.

In a heat-proof bowl combine the gelatin with boiling water and sugar mixing until no sugar and gelatin granules remain; add in the cold water and stir until thickened.

Gradually add to the cream cheese mixture beating after each addition until well blended. Gently stir in 1 1/2 cups thawed whipped topping and the chopped strawberries. Divide between the dessert dishes. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Before serving dollop with more whipped topping over the top.
