SCRUM-DELICIOUS BURGERS

1 1/2 lb ground beef
3 tbsp finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp garlic salt and pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 cup canned sliced mushrooms
6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup mayonnaise
6 hamburger buns, split
Lettuce leaves and tomato slices

Mix together first 4 ingredients. Shape into 6 patties. In a small bowl, combine next 4 ingredients and refrigerate.

Grill burgers over medium-hot coals for 10-12 minutes, turning once. During the last 3 minutes, spoon 1/4 cup of cheese mixture onto each burger. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato slices. Serves 6
