MEXICAN PIE

1 (9 inch) single crust
Filling
1 lb ground beef
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
3/4 cup water
1 cup taco sauce, divided
1 cup kidney beans, drained
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
Prepare crust in pie pan and bake until golden brown. Cool completely.
Filling. While crust bakes, brown meat in a skillet and drain off fat. Add next 3 ingredients and 1/3 cup taco sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add beans and simmer 5 minutes. Place mixture into baked pie crust. Sprinkle with remaining ingredients, cut into wedges and serve.
