MULTI-PURPOSE MARINADE

1 cup catsup and soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp sherry and wine vinegar
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1 piece (1 inch) fresh ginger, chopped
Pepper

Mix ingredients and pour over meat or chicken. Marinade meat or chicken at least 2 hours. Note: Excess sauce can be heated and served on the side; or over noodles, rice or potatoes. Leftover fresh marinade can be refrigerated and used later.
