FINISHING SAUCE

Category: Sauces, Marinades, Spices, Glazes and Rubs

2 (6 oz) cans tomato sauce
3 heaping tbsp dry mustard
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, mashed
2 cups water
1 cup vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 lb unsalted butter
3 tbsp paprika
1 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp kosher salt and pepper

Simmer 1 hour, strain and use or refrigerate. Baste after meat is done.
