MARINATED BAR-B-QUE RIBS

6-10 lbs ribs
Marinating sauce
2 cups soy sauce
1 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp molasses
1 tsp salt
Red sauce
14 oz ketchup
12 oz jar chili sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp dry mustard
2 tsp rum
Combine marinating ingredients and bring to a boil. Let cool. Place ribs in a baking sheet and cover with sauce, refrigerate overnight.
When ready to cook, pour off sauce and place in a baking pan and cover tightly with foil and bake at 325 until tender, about 2 hours.
Heat grill for medium heat. After cooking, dip in red sauce and place on the grill for 7-10 minutes.
NOTE: Both sauces can be reused if brought to a boil and stored in containers in the freezer.
