SPICY BEEF RIBS WITH GRILLED PINEAPPLE

Rub
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp each coarse black pepper, dry mustard, salt and fennel seeds, crushed
1/2 tsp ground cloves
4 lbs beef back ribs, cut into 2-3 ribs per serving
In a bowl, combine the rub ingredients.
Rub spice mixture over ribs. Preheat grill and cook on medium heat 20-30 minutes, or until done. Turn once.
Grilled Pineapple
1 medium pineapple, rind and core removed and cut lengthwise into 8 slices
2 tbsp brown sugar
Place brown sugar and pineapple in a plastic bag. Shake to coat. During last 10 minutes of cooking ribs, place pineapple on grill pan. Heat through, turning once or twice.
