DOUBLE FUDGE BROWNIE BARS

1 brownie mix, plus ingredients on pkg
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup butter room temperature
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
2 cups chocolate chips melted and cooled
3/4 cup walnut chopped

Preheat oven to 350. Prepare brownie mix as directed on pkg; stir in nuts. Spread into greased 13 x 9 pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.

In heavy saucepan, over medium heat, melt chips and margarine with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Spread evenly over brownie layer. Cool. Chill 2 hours or until topping is firm. Cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature.

Variation: Prepare brownies as directed on box and pour into prepared pan. Bake for 18 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cups butterscotch or peanut butter chips, 1/2 cup pecans and 1 cup flaked coconut. Pour condensed milk over top and bake for 22 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan before cutting into bars.
