MEXICAN MEAT LOAF

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
3 slices bread, torn into small pieces
1 egg
1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 small onion, chopped
2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1/3 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 375. Combine first 7 ingredients and spread into a loaf pan. Bake 1 hour; drain excess drippings. Spoon chili sauce over cooked meatloaf and sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
