CHERRY CHEESECAKE BARS

Crumb mixture
1/3 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup flour

Filling
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped red and green candied cherries

Heat oven to 350. Combine crumb mixture until well mixed, about 1 minute. Reserve 1/2 cup of the mixture. Press remaining mixture into an ungreased square baking pan. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Filling: Combine all ingredients in same bowl. Beat until smooth. Fold in cherries by hand. Spread filling over crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Continue baking 18-20minutes or until filling is set. Cut into bars while warm. Cover and store in refrigerator.
