Shelly's Recipe

SOUTH PHILLY HAMBURGER

1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup grated onion
1 large clove garlic, minced
2 tsp dried crushed basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1/3 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 slices provolone cheese
4 hamburger buns

Prepare medium fire on grill. While grill is heating, mix the except cheese and buns and form into patties.

Place on an oiled grill grid. Grill directly over heat for 5-7 minutes per side for medium.

Toast buns split side down on the edges of the grill until lightly browned. Place cheese on top of each burger and cover until cheese melts, about 2 minutes. Serves 4
