FIRST COAT SHRIMP

1 tsp cayenne, crumbled thyme, rosemary and salt
2 tbsp pepper
1/4 tsp basil and sweet paprika
1 tbsp clarified butter
1 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
1 lb large shrimp, shelled
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup beef
3 tbsp cold butter, cut into pieces
1 loaf Italian bread
Mix seasonings together. In a heavy skillet, heat butter until hot but not smoking. Saute garlic, about 20 seconds, stir in shrimp, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and 2 tbsp seasoning mix. Mix together well. Saute about 30 seconds. Add beer, simmer 1 minute or until shrimp are pink. Remove from heat and add cold butter. Stir until melted. Place mixture into a large bowl. Serve with bread for dipping.
