ORANGE FILLED FRENCH TOAST

Filling
2 (3 oz) pkg cream cheeses, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp grated orange rind
1 1/2 tbsp sugar

Place ingredients in a small bowl. Beat until light and fluffy. Set aside.
French toast
3 eggs
2/3 cup milk
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 inch slices Kings Hawaiian Bread
2 cups fresh sliced strawberries
Maple syrup, warmed

Whisk together first 5 ingredients. Pour into a square dish. Set aside. Cut 2 slices of bread vertically from the center of the loaf that are 1 1/2 inch thick. To form a pocket, us a sharp paring knife to cut through the center of the bottom crust lengthwise. Press ends to open. Fill with half of the filling. Press cut edge together. Repeat with other slice.

Carefully dip each side of the filled bread in the egg mixture using a spatula to help turn. Melt butter on a griddle on medium heat and cook bread on both sides until golden brown. Cut each piece of French toast in half. Top with sliced strawberries. Serves 4
