3-5 tbsp butter
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1/3 cup sesame seeds
2 pkg ramen noodles, broken up (reserve 1 flavor packet for dressing)
1 large head Napa cabbage, finely shredded or 1 lb prepkgd cole slaw mix
1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced

Dressing:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup rice or white wine vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/3 cup water
Reserved Ramen Noodle flavor packed

Place the cabbage, green onions and noodles in a large bowl.

In a skillet over medium-high heat cooking, melt in butter adding noodles until golden brown; add the almonds and sesame seed; toast until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Cool. Place the sesame seeds in the pan and toast until lightly browned, stirring or shaking the pan to toast evenly. Watch carefully, as they can burn easily. Set aside to cool.

Combine the dressing ingredients in a saucepan and boil 1 mint. Let cool. Stir dressing well. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss well. Stir in the almonds and sesame seeds, and let stand for at least 15 minutes to draw some of the moisture out of the cabbage. Stir again before serving. Serves 10
