KOREAN BEEF RIBS

Sauce
1 cup chopped green onions and soy sauce
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
2 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
4 medium garlic cloves, chopped
2 tsp dark sesame oil

8 lb beef ribs*

Heat grill. In blender container, combine all sauce ingredients; blend until smooth. Score beef between rib bones with sharp knife. Brush ribs with sauce; reserve remaining sauce. Place ribs on grill 4 to 6 inch from medium-low coals. Cook 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until tender, turning ribs and brushing with sauce every 15 minutes. Slice before serving. Serves 8

TIPS *Pork ribs may be substituted for beef ribs. **Or ribs can be precooked the day before grilling to save time. Brush ribs with sauce; place in shallow baking dish. Add 1 inch beef broth and 2 slices fresh ginger to baking dish; cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours. Refrigerate ribs and sauce overnight. Grill as directed above 15 to 30 minutes, brushing with sauce every 5 minutes.
