BREADED PORK CHOPS WITH BEER GRAVY

4 pork chops, 3/4 - 1 inch thick and trimmed of fat
1 egg
1 tbsp water
1/2 cup fine cracker crumbs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp paprika
Pepper, to taste
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3/4 cup beer
2 tbsp flour
3/4 cup beef bouillon
1 tbsp ketchup

Beat eggs and water together. Combine cracker crumbs, salt, paprika and pepper. Dip the chops in the egg mixture and then the bread crumbs. Heat oil in skillet and brown chops on all sides. Reduce heat and add 1//4 cup beer. Cover and simmer, 25-30 minutes or until done. Place chops on platter and keep warm. Make a paste of flour and 1 tbsp water. Stir in remaining beer, bouillon and ketchup. Add into cooking liquid. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Season to taste. Serves 4
