PECAN PRALINE TORTILLA CHIPS

Category: Snacks / Crackers / Chips

6 soft taco size flour tortillas
Cooking spray
1/2 lb packed brown sugar
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 1/2 tsp butter
1 tsp dark rum, optional
1 cup pecan pieces

Preheat oven to 350. Cut tortillas into wedges. Arrange on a baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned; set aside to cool.

Combine brown sugar, milk and butter in a saucepan and cook, stirring frequently, over high heat until mixture reaches 240 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat; add pecans and rum. Stir rapidly until mixture thickens, about 20 seconds. Spoon mixture over chips and let cool. The longer the mixture is heated the creamier the glaze will be. For a shinier glaze, spoon on right after adding pecans and rum.
